Eurex Clearing
Dear Clearing Member,
We would like to draw your attention to the introduction of an optional excess collateral pool which is scheduled to go live as part of C7 Release 6.1 update.
This Newsflash provides information on this new feature.
Eurex Clearing offers its Clearing Members an additional service designed to more efficiently manage their intraday margin call process. The introduction of an excess collateral pool will enable Members to cover intraday margin calls directly with available cash deposits. This new feature is optional for Clearing Members and needs to be requested ad-hoc.
The new excess collateral pool/s will be linked to the Clearing Member’s existing margin pool/s. For the time being, this initiative is only available for cash deposits.
New values need to be supported in FIXML feed for the existing fields:
These values will be incorporated in the following reports: CD230, CD231, CI720 and CI731.
Detailed information can be found in the “C7 - Collateral Management Functional Reference Guide” on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com on the following link:
Technology > C7 > System documentation > Overview and Functionality
Further information is also available in the “C7 Clearing GUI - User Manual” on the Eurex Clearing website on the following link:
Technology > C7 > System documentation > Eurex Clearing GUIs
If you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact your Clearing Key Account Manager.
Kind regards,
Your Client Services Team
