Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 SCS Release 2.0 Simulation – Preparation for simulation start: available instruments and report samples

Dear Clearing Member,

With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing announces the simulation start for C7 SCS 2.0 on 20 June 2022 along with its first Focus Day dedicated to trades migration. Furthermore, it provides additional information regarding the available instruments which can be used in the simulation environment of C7 SCS with regards to Eurex Repo transactions and the samples of reports CE860 and CE870.

Learn now more about C7 SCS Release 2.0 on our dedicated initiative page on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurex.com/ec-en/ under the following link: Support > Initiatives & Releases > C7 SCS Release 2.0. System documentation, circulars, timeline and much more information is available there for you.

1.  Simulation start and migration weekend focus day

The C7 SCS 2.0 Member simulation will start on 20 June 2022. The focus for the first week is to provide Members with a production-like situation, describing the start of production on 24 October 2022.

The "Big Bang" approach, as it will happen on the simulation start day, will be similar to the behavior in production. It will include the processing of trades in instruments that are selected for this test case between 13 April and 21 June 2022. All trades that have been entered after 13 April 2022 and before 13 June 2022 (for GC Pooling)/14 June 2022 (for Special Repo) in F7 and are processed via the Securities CCP, have to have the status "Pending", so that they will be migrated and processed in C7 SCS.

2.  ISIN list

The file containing instruments dedicated to the C7 SCS 2.0 simulation provides additional information with regards to the possibility to use a particular ISIN for:

  • corporate action processing
  • partial settlement
  • end-to-end testing with CBF (details will be provided later)

The ISIN list of the instruments available in the simulation environment can be found on the initiatives page under Support > Initiatives & Releases > C7 SCS Release 2.0 > System Documentation > Overview and Functionality > ISIN - List of financial instruments for C7 SCS 2.0

3.  Report samples RPTCE860/RPTCE870 for Eurex Repo-related business

To support the participants by porting of Securities CCP reports to C7 SCS reports, the C7 SCS Project decided to provide a sample file containing different netting constellations for Eurex Repo trades. The examples support the understanding and reconciliation of trades between the Pending Delivery Report and the Settled Delivery Report in the C7 SCS environment.
