Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 Technology – AMQP: Decommissioning of unsupported ciphers and update of documentation
Dear Clearing Member,
With this newsflash, Eurex Clearing announces the decommissioning of cipher suites supported by AMQP brokers due to security reasons. Ciphers define the combination of encryption and authentication algorithms used to secure the connection to Eurex Clearing AMQP brokers.
With effect in simulation as of 18 July 2022 and in production as of 19 September 2022, the following ciphers will no longer be supported:
- SSL_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA
- TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA
- TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA
In order to ensure that unsecured ciphers are not being used, Clearing Members need to use the latest versions of the TLS software.
Please note that the Eurex Clearing FIXML interface only supports version 1.2 and above, as announced in Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 Release 8.0: Reminder: Decommissioning of FIXML Java Broker protocols TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1.
