1.  Introduction   

With this circular, Eurex Clearing announces the production launch of Prisma Release 12.0 which is scheduled for Monday, 21 November 2022. 

Prisma Release 12.0 contains the below changes:

A. Advanced Risk Protection (ARP) functionality enhancements: Introduction of a new report CI101 Advanced Risk Protection – Intraday Limit Utilization Report

B. Member report changes due to various initiatives:

  • Introduction of separate Variation Margin and Premium Payments fields in member reports CI030 and CP030 in addition to the existing combined Variation Margin / Premium Payments field 
  • FX-Risk handling required for Multi-Currency ETFs resulting in changes to the following reports: CI050, CN050, CC033, CC711, CC745, CC750 and CC780

Simulation start: 10 October 2022
Production start: 21 November 2022

2.  Required action

We kindly ask all Clearing Members and participants to adjust their systems and internal processes to support the changes in member reports as per this circular and the Prisma Report Reference Manual, which will be published in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse Group under the following path on Wednesday 20 July 2022:

Resources > Eurex Clearing > Documentation & Files > Eurex Clearing Prisma > Release Documents > Document & Circulars > Documents Release 12.0

Changes to CP030 text version as well as report changes resulting from the Multi-Currency ETF initiative are mandatory changes. All other changes are considered as optional.

3.  Details of the initiative

A. Advanced Risk Protection (ARP):

  • ARP Intraday Limit Utilization Client Reports
    To provide members with transparency on intraday ARP limit utilization, a new limit utilization report will be introduced. Members can subscribe to this intraday report similar to the current CI050 or CI030 reports by sending a request to risk@eurex.com. More information on the report layout will be provided to the clients in due course.

In addition, related enhancements of the C7 ARP application (Automatic Release and Optional Deletion of Orders/Quotes for Level 3 Limit Breach) are announced in Eurex Clearing Circular 041/22.

B. Report changes:

  • Two new fields (Variation Margin and Premium Payments) will be introduced in member reports CI030 and CP030
  • FX-Risk handling required for Multi-Currency ETFs results in changes to the following reports: CI050, CN050, CC033, CC711, CC745, CC750 and CC780. Please note that the report layout remains unchanged. However, the reports will support security setup for multiple trading currencies.

Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions or FCM Clearing Conditions of Eurex Clearing AG, as applicable.
