1. Introduction
With this circular, Eurex Clearing informs its Clearing Members and Clients about the availability of optional scalability enhancements for FIXML request queue processing.
These enhancements allow Clearing Members and Clients to optimize their processing throughput, enabled through the setup and configuration of the relevant parameters within the FIXML infrastructure. The initiative is fully optional, and no changes will be applied unless a Clearing Member or Client decides to opt in.
The scalability enhancements are already available for testing in the Simulation Environment.
2. Required action
Simulation testing must be coordinated with the responsible Technical Key Account Manager (TKAM), who will assist with setup, execution and evaluation. After the successful completion of Simulation tests, Clearing Members and Clients intending to activate the new configuration are kindly requested to submit an opt-in to the same contact.
The scalability configuration can be enabled for Clearing Members and Clients at any time upon request. The activation is independent of any C7 release cycle and can be scheduled individually according to the Clearing Member’s/Client’s needs.
3. Details
Clearing Members and Clients may increase throughput and may observe additional performance benefits by requesting to adjust technical parameters. These parameters can be activated without dependency on any software release.
As a prerequisite, Clearing Members and Clients must be capable of processing asynchronous responses, potentially in a different order than the respective requests. Verification of this capability should be included as part of the participants’ testing activities.
Clearing Members and Clients are encouraged to perform testing both before and after adjusted parameters to assess measurable improvements for their individual setup in Simulation.

Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions or FCM Clearing Conditions of Eurex Clearing AG, as applicable.
