Total Return Futures Update May 2023

After a busy March roll, April took a breather and traded volumes of index total return futures reduced accordingly. However, Open Interest has risen slowly in the blue-chip index products SX5E and UKX, with Open Interest hitting EUR 112bn and GBP 20bn, respectively. In the SD3E Index the Index TRF product has now overtaken the regular (price return index futures) at 108k vs. 107k in Open Interest (EUR 1.6bn).
