EurexOTC Clear Release 17.0

With the EurexOTC Clear Release 17.0, Eurex Clearing will introduce the following enhancements: 

  • EU Agency Clearing Model
  • A new field “ReportTrackingNumber” for OTC trades
  • Introduction of Inflation Linked Asset Swaps
  • Report Changes
  • API Changes 
  • GUI Changes
  • Processing of Clearing Broker Take-up requests outside of Eurex Clearing service hours

Action Item

EU Agency Clearing Model

The current Omnibus segregation model (ECM) and Individual Segregation Accounts Model (ISA) will be enhanced to facilitate the agency relationship between Clearing Members and their clients for the clearing of the client transactions.

Clearing Members, who want to use this model, should evaluate the impact on their side. If further assistance is required, please contact your Clearing Key Account Manager or

A new field “ReportTrackingNumber” for OTC trades

A new field 'ReportTrackingNumber' will be introduced for OTC trades which will be optionally provided by the Approved Trade Source, and if used, Eurex Clearing will include the field information in the Trade Notification messages.

Clearing Members should evaluate the impact of consuming new trade notification messages on their side.

Introduction of Inflation Linked Asset Swaps

The current product offering will be extended with the delivery of Inflation Linked Asset Swaps using the standard coupon inflation swap template available in MarkitWire.

The product will reference the Euro HICPxt index with a maximum maturity of 50 years. Coupons can be paid periodically, i.e. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

Report Changes

The following report change will be made:

  • Adjustment of currentfloatrate, currentcompoundrate, currentfixrate & currentfloatratespread fields in Variation Margin Report (CC203 / CC222)

We kindly ask all Clearing Members to ensure that the relevant report changes are reflected in their internal processes.

API Changes 

The following enhancements will be implemented in API modules:

  • The enhancement of the Trade Notification Messages with the introduction of “ReportTrackingNumber” field
  • The enhancement of FpML API with the processing of Clearing Broker Take-up requests outside of Eurex Clearing Services hours

We kindly ask all Clearing Members to ensure that relevant API changes are reflected in their internal processes.

GUI Changes

Two additional columns:

  • Pay Leg Current Notional and
  • Receive Leg Current Notional

will be added to the Trade Search Results Table and the Modify Table of the Bilateral and Cleared Trades windows. They will show the actual notional value of the current day from the VIRS notional step schedule.

The existing columns: 

  • Pay Leg Outstanding Notional and
  • Receive Leg Outstanding Notional

will be renamed to Pay Leg Initial Notional and Receive Leg Initial Notional. The changes will be reflected in the Download CSV file.

There is no action required for GUI changes. 

Processing of Clearing Broker Take-up requests outside of Eurex Clearing service hours

The processing of TakeUpGranted and TakeupRefused messages, even if sent outside of Eurex Clearing service hours,  will be possible with the introduction of the OTC Clear Release 17.0.

There is no action required.
